Part of the joy that comes from creating a piece of music is when it is given life in performance. My goal with creating Headless Mallets Publishing is to be able to make more of my music available to more people.

Come, Holy Ghost is a handbell duet arrangement combining the chant VENI CREATOR SPIRITUS (Come, Holy Ghost, Creator Blest) and SONG 13 (Holy Spirit, Light Divine). The use of singing bell technique and suspended mallets on a bell tree create an ethereal sound fitting for Pentecost. The duet is written for 3 octaves of handbells with an optional Bb3. Simply written to have a complex and full sound with only two ringers, the Db6-C7 bells are only used in bell tree throughout the piece, allowing the ringers to utilize only one set of handbells either with or without use of a bell tree stand.

Connect 6 is a versatile original work for handbells. The piece begins and ends  with a joyous rhythmic idea built on the malleted bass line with a lyrical and  melodic middle section. The piece shifts between 6/8 in 2 and 6/8 in 3 as well as 9/8 and 3/4 time. Originally conceived as a sextet, Connect 6 may be used in multiple ways: (1) as a 5 octave Handbell ensemble; (2) as a 5 octave Handbell sextet; (3) as a 3 octave Handbell ensemble with Piano; or (4) as a 3 octave Handbell quintet with Piano. All  performance possibilities also include optional 3 octaves of Handchimes. The alternate title Joyously Resound is  provided.
